From the time Ps Mary Chan gave her heart to Jesus at the young age of 9 years, she had been prolific in sharing the gospel and winning souls to the kingdom. This passion led her to enroll in a Bible College of Malaysia, in preparation for full-time ministry. In 1986, after Ps Mary’s marriage to Ps Clement Wong, they moved to Ipoh, Perak to lead the fledgling church that Ps Clement had pioneered named Church of Praise. With great zeal, love for the lost and fervor for the Lord, they shepherded the growing church and through the years,they established various ministries and outreaches with the help of a committed leadership team. In the midst of it all, God blessed them with three children.

Ps Mary’s early years of ministry was focused on children’s ministry where she trained and equipped young leaders to teach and impact the lives of children to raise up a generation that stands strong in these times. She now continues to build the people of God and make strong disciples through the teaching and preaching of the Word of God that is spirit and life. Always encouraging and a pillar of strength to those around her, many have been inspired by her humility and the overcoming life that she leads in the joy of the Lord.
